Tomatoes, cooked according to this recipe, like everyone without exception. They are sweet-sour to the taste, at the expense of apples. A feature of this recipe is that the appetizer does not contain in its composition table vinegar. This makes it absolutely safe and useful even for small children.
Ingredients (a liter jar of delicious tomatoes and apples will come out):
- tomatoes - 10 pcs .;
- apples - 1-2 pcs .;
- garlic - 2 cloves;
- water - 1.5-2 liters;
- salt - 2 tbsp. l .;
- sugar - 2 tbsp. l .;
- bay leaf - 2 pcs.
Cooking tomatoes with slices of apples
Prepare the container: wash the jars with baking soda. Cover the lid with boiling water for a few minutes, and the banks can not be sterilized. Now we dry up the container and begin to form future blanks. Apples cut into large slices. Best to take sour apples. Do not take the white filling, because it will turn into a mess. If the apples are large, then one is enough, otherwise we take a couple of pieces. Putting sliced apples in jars. Then put the bay leaf. We clean the garlic from the husk and, in general, also send in jars.
Now fill the rest of the place with tomatoes. They are better to choose tight, with thick and fleshy walls.
Spill boiling water in jars and wait about 20 minutes.
Then pour water into a saucepan, pour vegetables again and wait for 20 minutes. For the third time, we are already preparing a sweet marinade: add granulated sugar, kitchen salt and spices that you like. Bring to a boil and pour into jars again.
Roll up sterile caps and turn over to cool.
