Yellow fruit

Yellow fruits of tomatoes owe their color to lycopene and beta-carotene (provitamin A) - coloring pigments, which in these fruits predominate over carotene.

Largest yellow tomatoes can be like smallso and large, and their shades from pale yellow to bright orange. Both those and others are good, but the taste of large tomatoes is much sweeter than small ones of the same color.

Yellow tomatoes are often recommended as dietary, due to less pronounced acidity.

A tomato plant that gives yellow fruits can be just as vulnerable to fungi and pests as the one that produces red tomatoes, and also requires preventive treatment.
