Pepper stuffed with meat and rice is a tasty dish that we have known for a long time. Every hostess has special secrets for even such a simple dish like this. Someone prefers to simmer pepper in a saucepan, someone likes the result in the oven more, someone likes to stew the pepper in sour cream sauce, someone in tomato sauce, etc.
I offer you my recipe with step-by-step photos, according to which I always cook stuffed peppers, maybe someone will like it! I suggest adding a spoonful of delicious sour cream to the finished dish. Also, you can serve mashed potatoes, porridge or just a vegetable salad to the peppers.
- large pepper - 2 pcs .;
- boiled rice - 5-6 tbsp .;
- minced meat - 250 g;
- carrots and onions - 1 pc .;
- tomato sauce - 400 ml;
- garlic - 4 cloves;
- sugar - 1 tsp;
- salt, pepper - to taste;
- vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
How to cook stuffed peppers in a saucepan
Prepare all the necessary ingredients on the list. Choose medium-sized carrots and onions, clean the vegetables and wash, dry. After chopping the onion in small cubes, grate the carrots on a medium grater.
Cook the minced meat in a bowl of a blender or in a meat grinder. Take pork and turkey as a basis for mincemeat, if desired, you can add any kind of meat. Grind the meat until smooth.
Heat a spoonful of vegetable oil in a frying pan, shift carrots and onions, fry vegetables for a couple of minutes.
Boil rice in advance - put the rice in a bowl, add fried carrots and onions.
Add minced meat, salt and pepper to rice. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Peppers to clean and rinse, then fill with cooked stuffing.
Put the peppers in a saucepan, pour in tomato sauce, add garlic, cut into plates, salt and pepper, add a pinch of sugar. Simmer the pepper for 40 minutes, after the indicated time, serve the pepper to the table.
