Tomatoes intended for canningare significantly different from the rest. Special demands are placed on them, they can be determinants and indeterminate, gardening and for commercial production, but the fruits must be dense, transportable and lay. Such requirements are imposed due to the fact that tomatoes from the field must be delivered to the processing plant as whole, being able not to lose integrity while waiting for their turn and not to lose shape (not to burst) during heat treatment.

Tomatoes of this group can be of any ripening period, but they are all fruitful and resistant to diseases.
