Delicious “Fruit” tomatoes are easily prepared for the winter when the apples ripen and there is ripe, tasty plums. Canned tomatoes will be a tasty addition to the side dishes and main dishes in the winter, and the fruit from the can will remind you of the warm period and sunny days.
Fruits of vegetables and fruits for harvesting is better to take dense and of course without flaws. In the banks of the marinade, due to the plums used, it gets a pleasant color, and the apples become with a beautiful shade of pink. The recipe is quite simple, easy to repeat.
Ingredients (per three-liter jar, brine per 1 l.):
- tomatoes - 1.5 kg.,
- plums (preferably Hungarian) - 0.5 kg.,
- apples - 0.5 kg.,
- garlic - 3-4 cloves,
- water - 1 l.,
- salt - 1 tbsp. l.,
- sugar - 3 tbsp. l (it is possible to take 4 tbsp for sweeter tomatoes),
- citric acid - 0.5 tsp,
- dill - 2-3 umbrellas,
- allspice - 5 pcs.,
- bell pepper - 5 pcs.,
- coriander (peas) - 0.5 tsp,
- Carnation (optional) - 2-3 pcs.
How to cook pickled tomatoes "Fruit"
Thoroughly wash all fruits and vegetables and greens under running cold water. The washed products are dried. If a bone is well separated in a plum (for example, the “Hungarian” variety), remove it and divide it into two halves.
In apples we remove the core and the bones, the mode for quarters. At the bottom of the sterilized jars we collect all the spices, garlic, any greens and send the same vegetables and fruits.
Fill the prepared sawed cans with hot boiled water and let them stand for 15 minutes with covered lids.
After pouring water from the cans into the pan, and send there citric acid, salt, sugar. Marinade give boil.
Now we fill the jars with ready-made marinade and roll up sterilized lids. Leave closed jars upside down in a blanket until it cools completely.
