We offer a recipe for simple salting tomatoes for the winter. Spicy flavored tomatoes are sure to please everyone. Tomatoes, made by simple salting in the banks in the winter, are barrel-flavored, just as fragrant and tasty.
Cooking time: 1 hour 30 minutes. Servings: 3 cans of 0.5 l.
Products for tomatoes:
- tomato - 3 kg;
- water - 3 l;
- salt coarse - 1 l to 2 st.l.
- horseradish - 5 sheets;
- cherry leaves - 15 pcs .;
- red / black currant leaves - 10 pcs .;
- Dill branches - 5 pcs .;
- horseradish root - 1 pc .;
- fresh parsley - bunch;
- mint - bunch;
- garlic arrows - 3 bush;
- bay leaf - 5 pcs .;
- hot pepper - 1 pc .;
- red pepper peas - 5 pcs .;
- mustard seed - 10 pcs.
The process of making tomatoes simple salting
In advance we will wash and sterilize the jars in any convenient way, put fresh or dried greens, bay leaves, peas on the peas and other spices on the bottom. Additionally, you can put carrot and onion rings.
After that, wash the garlic arrows, cut into pieces and put 2-3 pieces. in every jar. Instead of garlic arrows, you can put the cloves of fresh garlic. Also, the sharpness of the tomatoes will give a little chili.
We will thoroughly wash the tomatoes, do not remove the peel, dry them from moisture, we pierce the vegetables with a thick gypsy needle or a toothpick. This is necessary so that the fruits during cracking with boiling water do not crack and salt out better. We spread the prepared tomatoes in jars loosely to each other. For salting, use whole, elastic tomatoes without phytophtoras and rot.
Fill the tomatoes with boiling water so that the liquid completely covers the fruit. Then cover with a lid, leave to stand for 15-20 minutes, then drain. Repeat the steaming about 2 times. To make it easier to pour the tomatoes, we recommend that you put a special nozzle with holes on the neck of the jar. The last time, steaming, pour the liquid from the jar into the pan, add bay leaf, umbrella of dill, black pepper peas, granulated sugar and salt. Stir the ingredients, bring to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes. Fill the tomatoes with hot pickle to the top.
Banks roll up tightly with lids, wrap in cloth and leave to cool in the room for a day. Rolled tomatoes will be ready in about a month.
Store pickles in a dark cool place: basement / cellar.
