Tomatoes "Snowball" with garlic for the winter
Tomatoes in the snow with garlic for the winter on a 1 liter jar for this recipe with a photo prepared very easily. This is one of the most popular blanks for the New Year holidays. "Under the snow" they are called at the expense of garlic and mustard. When turning the jars, the effect of falling snow is created, as in many well-known souvenirs.
Ingredients for tomatoes:
- tomatoes - how much will fit into the jar;
- garlic - 4 cloves of garlic.
For the marinade:
- water -1.5 l;
- ground mustard - 1 tablespoon;
- salt - 1 tablespoon;
- sugar - 100 g;
- Vinegar - 1 tablespoon in each liter jar.
How to cook tomatoes "under the snow"
Spread on the banks already carefully washed tomatoes.
Separately, clean the garlic, wash it and crush it with a garlic press or a blender. Pour boiling water into the already filled can and leave for 10 minutes.
At this moment we make marinade. Put sugar, salt and ground mustard in the water. Bring to a boil and turn off. Carefully ensure that the foam formed from mustard, not boiled away.
Drain the water from the tomato. After adding garlic and vinegar.
Immediately pour boiling marinade.
Close tightly with a lid, cover the jars with a warm cloth and leave for a couple of days to let the tomatoes cool and infuse a little.
After they have cooled, you can put them in storage until winter in the cellar.
