Tomato ketchup with apples, just fingers you lick

Ketchup is in perfect harmony with different types of meat and poultry, suitable as a dressing for borscht and soup, as a sauce for potatoes or spaghetti. But the best thing is that it is not difficult to prepare homemade ketchup and close it for the winter, and this will not involve additional costs, since you need a minimum amount of products for ketchup.
What is needed for preparation:
- tomatoes - 1 kg.,
- Onion - 1 pc.,
- red apples - 2 pcs.,
- garlic - 2 cloves,
- sugar - 100 g,
- salt - 1 tsp,
- vinegar - 15 ml.,
- black pepper - 10 g,
- red pepper - 10 g,
- Paprika - 10 g.
How to cook tomato ketchup with apples
In order to prepare homemade ketchup, you can use any tomatoes, since in the end they will still turn into a homogeneous mass. Suit big, small, overripe, crumpled - any. Before starting, peel off the tomatoes. To do this, on each tomato top we make cuts, then pour them with boiling water and immediately cool them, throwing them in cold water. Thus, the peel of tomatoes peel off easily.
Peeled tomatoes cut into cubes of medium size. Then immerse them in a saucepan, put it on medium heat and boil the vegetables for 15 minutes in its own juice.
While the tomatoes are boiling, we clean our onion, wash it under running water, and then chop into small cubes. Add the onions to the tomatoes, continuing to cook our sauce, stirring it gently.
Now go to the apples. They also need to wash, peel and core, then cut as well as onions. Apples add to the rest of the ingredients.
Ketchup stew until softened onions, about 45-50 minutes. When the onion is ready, mix the ketchup into a homogeneous mass with a blender.
Then add salt, sugar, peppers and chopped garlic.
With the spices boil the sauce for another 10 minutes, at the end add a little more vinegar and stir the sauce until it boils. Ketchup need to boil for 5 minutes, then turn it off.
