The effect of fertilizer on plants
This fertilizer is especially effective during root growth and reproductive organs. It increases the yield by preventing the formation of inferior flowers.
This is due to compensation for the lack of phosphorus. If we talk about the protective properties of ammophos, it increases drought tolerance, improves immunity to bacterial and fungal diseases and forms a powerful root system of the plant.
Positive and negative qualities of fertilizer
Here is a list of advantages based on the physicochemical properties of ammophos:
- substances entering the soil almost do not wash out of the root zone;
- does not absorb water and does not coalesce, which allows you to store it without fear;
- Ammophos can be placed close to the seeds, without fear that they will be damaged by ammonia;
- improving the quality of the fruit.
Disadvantages of using this fertilizer:
- the complex composition is not suitable for complete plant nutrition;
- additional spending on trace elements that are not contained in ammophos;
- harm to the soil.
Ammophos storage rules
Ammophos is far from an inert substance, so it can easily be decomposed.
In this regard, it is not advisable to store packages with ammophos in the sun, in addition, it is necessary to withstand the temperature regime, because overheating or freezing of granules is undesirable. Ammophos is stored for 9 to 24 months.
Precautions for handling ammophos:
- Wear gloves and tight clothing so that the substance does not get on the skin;
- store in a hermetically sealed bag;
- If swallowed, induce vomiting.
Output
Ammophos is a very good fertilizer, due to its physical, chemical properties and effect on plants. It is great for plants that, for some reason, have slow growth, sparse foliage, or low yields.
