I want to note that guests take these garlic tomatoes from the table in minutes. They are great for meat dishes, and fried potatoes and other side dishes, but are especially good as a snack with strong drinks. The name tomato "you will lick your fingers" is fully consistent with their taste. The combination of ripe tomatoes and garlic creates a funky and original taste. Such tomatoes are prepared very simply and quickly, and the ingredients are available to everyone.
Ingredients:
- tomatoes - 450 gr;
- water - 500 ml;
- dill greens - a couple of twigs;
- granulated sugar - 35 g;
- table salt - half a tablespoon;
- table vinegar - 1 tbsp. l .;
- garlic - 3-4 cloves;
- peas (allspice) - a couple of peas.
How to cook tomatoes with garlic for the winter
We start with the preparation of containers: we select jars of the appropriate size, rinse them using baking soda, and then we send them to be sterilized in a microwave / oven. Hermetic lids boil for ten minutes. In sterile dry jars we lay dill greens and allspice.
We wash the washed tomatoes, small in size, with a fork / skewer so that they do not crack from exposure to boiling water. Now tightly fill the jars with tomatoes.
And pour a portion of boiling water on top. Leave the blanks for 10 minutes. at rest.
During this time, we prepare the garlic: peel it and send it under the press, or rub it on a fine grater. Cook the marinade: in one saucepan we combine clean water, table salt and sugar, after boiling pour a portion of vinegar. Pour the cooled water from the jars, put chopped garlic.
After pouring all the freshly boiled marinade. We seal the jars with sterile lids and leave them wrapped and turned upside down so that they cool.
