Winter plums with garlic - a super recipe without sterilization
Many people like unusual combinations in dishes. They can be prepared in many ways, adding what at first glance seems incompatible. There is a rather unusual recipe for harvesting without sterilizing pickled garlic plums for the winter. Conventional canned plums usually serve as jam, for stewed fruit, for serving desserts or baking. Plum with garlic is more suitable as a dressing for meat dishes, because its taste is unusual, and therefore adds a spicy touch of taste to the meat to which it is served.
Plum with garlic came to us from Hungarian cuisine. It is served as a sauce, and it also serves as an unusual snack. The recipe for cooking is simple, without fiction, does not contain the presence of little-known and expensive products, and each housewife can add something of their own to it.
To prepare the sink we need:
- plums - 2.5 kg .;
- hot pepper - 1 pc.;
- garlic - 2 to 3 heads;
- parsley;
- allspice - a couple of peas;
- vinegar - 5 tablespoons;
- sugar - 0.5 tbsp .;
- salt - 2 tbsp. spoons;
- water - 3 l.
How to cook plums with garlic for the winter
How we cook plums with garlic. Everything is done very simply, the number of garlic cloves per jar should be equal to the number of plums. We clean, separate and wash the garlic under running water. Then we go to the plums. They are also good at washing.
In plums we make small incisions, remove the stone.
After there we insert a clove of garlic.
In the pre-sterilized jars at the bottom we put hot, allspice, herbs, and then we spread our plums with garlic.
Stack pepper, parsley again.
After pour boiling water. Now leave the jars with plums (covered with lids) for half an hour, so that they are infused.
At the end of time, pour the marinade into a saucepan, put it on the fire, add sugar, salt and bring to a boil. Vinegar is added at the end.
Pour the boiled marinade back into the jars and immediately close.
Plums are ready.
