Matchless tomatoes with onions for the winter
Try making tomatoes with onions for the winter in this recipe with a photo - you will lick your fingers. It is quite another thing when we marinate fleshy varieties - even when sliced into slices, they perfectly retain their shape, taste and look very tasty when prepared. If desired, before twisting the jar, you can pour a spoonful of calcined vegetable oil.
Ingredients for pickling tomatoes:
- ripe fleshy tomatoes - 1.5 kg;
- onions - 2-3 medium heads;
- garlic - 5-6 cloves;
- allspice - 4-5 peas per jar;
- Lavrushka - 2 pcs;
- dill and parsley - 5-6 branches;
- water - 1 liter;
- salt - 1 tbsp. l with a low slide;
- sugar - 3 tbsp. l no slides;
- vinegar 9% - 50 ml;
- vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l in the bank (optional).
How to cook tomatoes with onions for the winter
For this recipe we select medium-sized tomatoes, not very large. On the skin should not be blemishes and damage, vegetables better to take ripe, but dense. Cut in half, the place of attachment of the stem can be cut or left.
Onions cut into slices no more than 0.5 cm thick. Cut the garlic cloves into slices.
Banks are prepared in advance, sterilized, lids scalded with boiling water. Put 2-3 sprigs of parsley and dill on the bottom, cut into slices. We throw one bay leaf.
Pour peppers allspice, garlic. If you want to make a marinade more spicy, add one or two hot pepper rings or a piece of chili pepper.
Fill the jar with tomato halves, sandwiching onion rings. To the tomatoes lay down as tightly as possible, shake the jar.
Fill all the jars, prepare the marinade. On one liter jar will leave somewhere between 250-300 ml of marinade. Pour water into a bowl, boil, add sugar and salt. Give boil a few minutes, pour in vinegar, remove from heat.
Fill the tomatoes with hot (but not boiling) marinade. Put the jar in the pot, do not forget to lay the bottom with a thick cloth or a rolled-up towel. Cover with a lid, just put it on top. Pour water about two-thirds of the height of the banks. Sterilize 10-12 minutes 0.5 liter containers, 15 minutes liter. Time we mark from the beginning of boiling water in a saucepan.
We twist banks with covers, we overturn. Wrap something warm and leave to cool. Then we send for storage in the pantry or basement. Successful to you preparations!
