Sweet tomatoes halves with onions for the winter - an incredibly tasty snack, of course, if you are loyal to sweet vegetables. If sweetness is unacceptable for you, then you can reduce the amount of sugar.

If all the preservation conditions are met, the blanks will stay in the storeroom for a long time, until the next harvest - that's for sure. Of course, maybe they will stay longer, but if you like the snack, it can end by the middle of winter.

How to make sweet tomatoes in halves with onions
For canning, choose ripe, but not overripe tomatoes - these will not be able to keep their shape in a jar with marinade, but, most likely, are deformed. Inspect the tomatoes so as not to get spoiled or rotten. Wash and tear off tails.
Cut the tomatoes into two equal parts, the places where the stem joined, cut.
Onions free from the husk and chop, cut into thin slices or strips.
Place in clean jars: peeled garlic cloves, allspice peas and chopped onions. Since pickled onions turn out incredibly tasty, you can put a lot of it.
It is desirable to grind black pepper independently and then pour it in a saucer. Dip a half of the tomato in black pepper, then put it in the jars with the cut up. And so, until the bank is filled.
By the number of cans measure the desired amount of salt and sugar. Banks with tomatoes pour boiling water, let stand for 15 minutes. Drain water in a saucepan and pour sugar and salt there.
Wait until the water starts to boil and make sure that the salt and sugar crystals dissolve completely. At the end, add table vinegar 9% and fill the jars with tomatoes with the cooked marinade.
Roll up sterile covers and wrap for a couple of days. Such delicious tomatoes can then be served with meat, fish, and a side dish.
