Stewed pumpkin with orange for the winter
Today we will prepare for the winter a delicious stewed pumpkin with orange. Pumpkin does not have a bright taste, but the orange, on the contrary, has a rich citrus flavor. The combination of these two ingredients will give an excellent result. Compote will be slightly sweet, not cloying and will have a light citrus notes.
Such a drink can be served both warm and cold. If you serve a chilled version of the drink, you can add a couple of mint leaves for freshness. Serve the compote to pies, cakes, any dessert, it will appeal to both children and adults.

Ingredients:
- pumpkin - 100 g;
- orange - 1 pc.;
- sugar - 90 g;
- water - 750 ml.
How to make pumpkin compote with orange
We will prepare all the necessary ingredients. Cut the pumpkin in half, peel it of a hard peel, remove all seeds from it and remove the fibers. Cut the pulp of the pumpkin into medium-sized pieces.
Boil pumpkin syrup. Pour sugar into a saucepan, pour it with clean water and bring to a boil. Put the chopped pumpkin in a pan and bring it to a boil again. Cook the pumpkin over medium heat until it becomes soft.
Wash the orange well and wipe it dry. Remove the zest from the orange, peel the white film and divide into slices. Cut the orange slices into medium slices.
Add the oranges to the pumpkin pan and cook for another 10 minutes.
We pour hot compote into banks that have been sterilized in advance, close or twist with sterilized lids. Turn the cans over and wrap them in a warm blanket until they cool completely. The cooled compote is moved to a cool place.
