Canned capelin with vegetables for the winter
If you are tired of the usual preparations for the winter time from vegetables and fruits, you can make canned fish. A delicious preparation for the winter is capelin, canned with vegetables. Ingredients:
- tomato juice - 500 g;
- onions - 150 g;
- carrot - 300 g;
- beets - 100 g;
- capelin - 400 g;
- table vinegar - 2 tbsp .;
- salt - 1 tbsp;
- sugar - 2 tbsp;
- sunflower oil (for frying).
How to cook capelin with vegetables
We clean the onion from the husk. We clean carrots and three on a grater. We clean the beets and grate too.
Now fry the vegetables until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
We take a cauldron or a thick-bottomed pan. Pour roasted vegetables there. Pour everything with tomato juice and simmer all 20 minutes. Instead of tomato juice, you can use fresh tomatoes that need to be crushed in a blender.
From the capelin, we clean the insides, cut off the heads.
We send the cleaned fish to stew with vegetables.
Salt, add sugar. Add a serving of table vinegar.
We stew capelin for the winter for at least half an hour.
After the fish is fully cooked, put it in sterile jars and roll it up.
