Globus salad - does not require sterilization and never explodes
Globus salad is a very tasty preparation for the winter, but its main advantage is not even its taste, but that this salad never explodes and does not require sterilization; it can be stored in the apartment. It is important to observe the proportions of the recipe, the cooking sequence, thoroughly wash and sterilize the jars with lids, tightly wrap the finished salad so that it is pasteurized in warmth.
It will take 45 minutes to prepare, several cans of 450 g are obtained from the ingredients indicated in the recipe.Ingredients:
- tomatoes - 1 kg;
- bell pepper - 1 kg;
- onions - 500 g;
- carrots - 500 g;
- table salt - 40 g;
- vegetable oil - 125 ml;
- apple cider vinegar - 100 ml;
- granulated sugar - 55 g.
How to prepare Globus salad for the winter
Peel the onion from the husk, chop finely. Pour vegetable oil into a deep pan, heat a little and pour the chopped onion and half the salt.
Fry the onion over moderate heat for 5 minutes.
Shred the carrots with noodles. A special vegetable grater is suitable for this, you can also grate carrots on a regular coarse grater.
Throw the chopped carrots into the pan, add the remaining salt and granulated sugar.
Pods of sweet pepper are cut in half, remove the seeds, rinse the pepper with running water, cut into strips.
Add chopped pepper to the pan.
Cut the core from the tomatoes, cut the tomatoes finely, add to the rest of the ingredients.
Close the pan tightly, cook over low heat for 45 minutes. 10 minutes before the end of cooking pour apple cider vinegar, mix, try. If necessary, add a little sugar.
Boil vegetables for 10 minutes with vinegar and remove the pan from the stove.
Prepare cans and lids. Wash cans, rinse thoroughly with hot water, dry in an oven at a temperature of 110 degrees Celsius. Boil the lids.
We put the hot salad in the banks on the shoulders, immediately tightly cork.
Banks are turned upside down, covered with something warm. Leave warm for 8-10 hours or overnight.
Cooled banks are removed in a dark and dry place. Such blanks can be stored in an apartment away from heating appliances, for example, in an unheated pantry.
