Salad of cucumbers and tomatoes for the winter "Lick your fingers"
Cucumber and juicy tomato salads are one of the most common pickles for the cold season. There are a lot of cooking methods, but I suggest you make a salad of cucumbers and tomatoes for the winter “You'll lick your fingers” without sterilization. Step-by-step photos will help you repeat the recipe easily, without much effort. This preparation can be served as a full-fledged snack or as an addition to the main hot dishes and side dishes. Salad is not only very tasty, but also healthy, as it is prepared without sterilization, and a huge amount of vitamins is stored in it.
List of ingredients:
- tomatoes - 1000 g;
- cucumbers - 1000 g;
- onions - 300 g;
- peppercorns - several peas per 1 liter jar;
- dried laurel - to taste.
Marinade:
- water - 2 l;
- sugar - 0.5 tbsp .;
- salt - 3 tbsp. l
- vinegar 6% - 150 g.
- vegetable oil -4 tbsp
How to cook a salad of cucumbers and tomatoes for the winter
We wash the vegetables under running water. We cut the tomatoes into slices, and the cucumbers in circles. Peel the onion from the husks and cut into half rings.
We sterilize the jars by any convenient method, we tighten the sealed lids in water for several minutes. In sterile jars, we place the chopped ingredients in balls: first onions, then slices of tomato and cucumbers - and so on to the top.
Here we put peas, dried bay leaf.
Next, fill the jar with boiling water and wait 10 minutes.
Pour water from cans into a saucepan (add up to 2 x liters) and boil a second time, add table salt, two tablespoons of sugar and a serving of table vinegar and oil.
Fill the salad again with cans, with a ready-made salad of vegetables, roll up the steamed lids. In an inverted position, we cover the banks with a blanket and leave to cool for a day.
We store blanks in the basement or in a cool closet. This appetizer is recommended to be served chilled.
