Reviews of those who planted

Natalya, Moscow

I really liked the taste of the fruits, they are sweet, sugar, fragrant. From part of the tomatoes I made salads with sour cream, and part I froze to cook borsch in the winter.

Tatyana, Kemerovo

I thought that the fruits were too soft, there were several “clumsy” tomatoes, but I liked the taste very much.

Galina, Krasnoyarsk

Although the variety is declared in the State Register as mid-season, I would classify it as early. He was the first to mature. Tomatoes are large, fleshy, juicy, sweet, acid free.

Height, plant weight, color, shape

Although the bushes are determinant, but they grow to a height of 0.8-1 m. Tomatoes are flat-rounded, their ribs are weakly visible, they are scarlet, very fleshy and sweet. Weight of 1 tomato 116-200 g. But you can remove tomatoes weighing 400 g. The pulp is very tender. Unripe tomato has a green color and a characteristic spot on the stalk.

Features of cultivation and care of the variety

Important! For a good harvest, tomatoes require heat, sun and moisture.

Having bought a package of seeds, check for germination by placing in a glass of salted water for 15 minutes. (add 1 teaspoon of salt to 1 cup of water). You will see that some seeds float to the surface of the water, these are bad seeds, throw them away. Leave those seeds that will settle to the bottom. Rinse them, dry them. Next, you can soak the seeds in a rag and hold for several days until they hatch. Sow them in containers with light soil, sprinkle with earth a layer of 1.5-2 cm. Dampen the earth with plenty, cover the containers with glass and put in the warmest place in the apartment, which has a temperature of + 22-25 ° C.

When the sprouts appear, harden them by placing the containers for a week in a cool place with an air temperature of + 15 ° C.

Then again place the containers in a warm room having a temperature of + 20-22 ° C. When 1-2 seedlings appear near the seedlings, they will dive it, planting it in separate peat pots. And after 60 days, seedlings are planted on the site.

Attention! Good seedlings should have 6-8 leaves.

Important! Tomato bushes like light and fertile land, you can pour sand and humus into them. Dig in the fall. If the earth has acidic characteristics, first sprinkle 100 g of dolomite flour per 1 m2, and then dig the earth.

In the spring, again dig the ground with a pitchfork, level it. The holes are torn out, observing a distance between them of 30 cm, and between the rows indent 50 cm.

So that the plants begin to grow well, they are planted at an angle, you can even deepen the plants a little, so that they have good roots, after they are spud. Bushes are tied to supports. Care consists in the fact that the plants dive, weeds are pulled out, watered, the soil is loosened, and they are fed.

Since this is not a hybrid, you can collect the seeds yourself, however, you need to remember that before sowing such seeds are placed in a weak solution of potassium permanganate.

Pick the largest and most ideal fruit, mark it somehow. When it ripens, pluck it and place it on the windowsill, leave for 2 weeks. Next, select seeds from it, rinse. Dry them.

Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

There are many advantages to tomatoes of the Hosbolosny variety:

  1. They are easy to care for, they can be grown by both a professional vegetable grower and a beginner.
  2. The bushes quite calmly tolerate temperature extremes, although during spring return frosts it is advised to cover the garden with a film, they are immune to diseases.
  3. Tomatoes of excellent taste, juicy, fleshy, sweet.
  4. Almost all fruits have an excellent presentation.
  5. Productivity is high.

Disadvantage:

  1. Fruits are not stored for a long time, a maximum of 2 weeks, they have soft skin.
  2. Ripening speed.
  3. The variety is classified as mid-season. Tomatoes begin to be harvested on day 120.

The main purpose of the variety

The Hosolosolny variety is great for salads because of the great taste. Tomatoes are added to diet dishes and baby food. Juice survive from them, make pastes or ketchups. But they are not canned, since the fruits are large and, in general, will not crawl into the neck of the jar.

What regions are grown

In the southern and central regions of Russia, tomatoes are grown in open areas. In the northern regions, it is recommended to plant tomatoes in greenhouses or greenhouses made of film, glass, polycarbonate.

Attention! They are not advised to plant the variety in closed, heated greenhouses, as this can cause intensive growth of stems, leaves and lack of buds.

Resistance to disease and adverse conditions

Like other varieties bred by Siberian breeders, tomatoes easily adapt to adverse conditions. Bushes calmly endure drought, heat, sudden changes in air temperature, lowering temperature. Even with sharp fluctuations in temperature and lack of sunlight, the bushes are perfectly tied fruit.

Tomatoes rarely get sick, infected with fungi, viruses. The variety is immune to fusarium, leaf brown spots, tobacco mosaic virus (TMV).

Seedling planting dates

If you plan to plant seedlings on the site, then the seeds are sown 60 days before - in early April. If you want to plant seedlings in greenhouses, you can sow seeds in February.

If the planting is too early, the plants do not have enough sunlight and heat, so they only begin to produce fruits by the end of July.

If you sow seeds on a site at the end of May, then in early August you will be able to harvest. This is because the timing of plant vegetation depends on weather conditions.

Hosbolosny Tomato is an excellent variety that perfectly adapts to various weather conditions, it is resistant to the main diseases of tomatoes.
