Apples in syrup for the winter
This sweet workpiece will appeal not only to apple lovers, but also to everyone. Slices of fragrant apples, in sweet sugar syrup - this is a real jumble. Such apples can not only be enjoyed at any time of the year, but also decorate with them desserts, home-made.
Apples in syrup for the winter are obtained as fresh, but very sweet, due to concentrated syrup. A treat is being prepared quickly, without much effort and expense. It is enough to cut the fruit into neat slices, cook the sweet syrup, pour apples on it and clog it. As you can see, there is nothing complicated about this, but the result will please both you and your loved ones. Kids will be especially delighted. Ingredients (per 1 liter):
- apples - 0.8 kg;
- purified water - 0.5-0.6 l;
- granulated sugar - 200-250 gr.
How to cook apples in syrup for the winter
The first question we have is what kind of apples to take for this harvest? Juicy fruits with a dense, strong structure are best suited. After all, only they will not begin to fall apart during heat treatment. An ideal variety for these purposes is “Glory to the winner”. We wash the fruits and cut. We will cut into neat slices. To do this, you can use a special device for cutting, but you can do this with an ordinary knife. Cut seeds from apples.
We bring the water to a boil and add 200-250 grams of sugar to it, depending on how sweet your apples are. Boil the syrup for five minutes. Now we send the lid and the jar to be sterilized. Boil the chopped apples in boiling sweet syrup for 3-4 minutes. It is important not to overexpose the fruit so that the slices do not boil.
Using a slotted spoon, we get all the apples and put them in a jar.
Boil the syrup for a couple of minutes, and then pour it into the jar too. A steamed lid we roll up a jar of apples in syrup.
