Norwegian salad novel

This delicious salad with the beautiful name “Norwegian Romance” is sure to be your favorite! It combines the sweetness of carrots, the freshness of cucumbers and crisp onions. And rice with pink salmon successfully set off these tastes. It is not even a salad, but a full-fledged dish: it has both a side dish and fish, and a fresh salad. See the recipe with photos.

The nuances of cooking:

  1. Salt the salad just before serving! It is important that cucumbers do not let the juice.
  2. If you do not have a lemon on hand, you can replace it with vinegar, preferably wine or rice.
  3. Pink salmon can be replaced by mackerel. The taste of the salad will then change, but it will still be delicious.

  • carrots 1 pc .;
  • cucumbers 2 pcs .;
  • ½ onion;
  • boiled rice 200 g .;
  • dill ½ bunch;
  • lemon juice 1.5 tbsp .;
  • mayonnaise 4 tbsp .;
  • lettuce leaves;
  • salt, pepper to taste.


How to cook a salad "Norwegian novel"

Finely chop the onion, pepper and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Grate carrots on a coarse grater and pass on vegetable oil.

Dill finely chopped.

Mix dill with cucumbers.

We collect the salad: lay out the "pillow" of lettuce leaves.

The first layer is rice.

The second layer is pink salmon. Brush with mayonnaise.

Drain lemon juice with onion and put the onion in a third layer.

Put the salad in the fridge for 1.5-2 hours soak and can be served on the table. Before serving, you can lightly salt it.
