In the matter of land, this bush is very unpretentious: it is well received and bears fruit even in sandy soil. In the chernozem, black raspberries will bear fruit more actively, but even in the “sand” it feels quite normal. The main thing is that the soil should not be too heavy: in gardens, often flooded by ponds, this plant can rot or become ill.
As for organized watering, raspberries love him very much. Nevertheless, you need to water the bushes sparingly: so that the black raspberries "get drunk" enough water, but also do not remain after watering in a puddle. Moreover, if you water in the evening: in the dark, pathogenic bacteria can become active and infect berry bushes.
Black raspberries do not need either a bright sun or a dull shadow. Her choice is light partial shade, which makes it possible not to dry out in the sun and, at the same time, saturate its fruits with sunlight. How to grow black raspberries from cuttings in your country?
1. Select a location on your site. In our country, this plant grows under a fence made of mesh-netting: the bushes have enough light and, at the same time, they can cling to the net support with lashes. Prepare the ground before planting raspberries. Dig a hole with a diameter of about 50 cm, water well and fill its bottom with a mixture of loose earth and compost. Place black raspberry cuttings in a hole and sprinkle with soil. From above, ground the earth around the cuttings with dry earth so that the moisture needed in the first days of growth does not evaporate from the ground too quickly.
2. When the bushes take root, do not spare them water: in the first years, the plant will grow and develop rapidly.
3. After 2-3 years, the first buds will appear on the black raspberry bushes. During flowering and fruiting, this plant needs to be watered very well: not from a watering can, but from a hose (it is best to leave the hose under raspberry bushes and let the soil soak in water for 5-10 minutes).
4. The fruits of black raspberries appear in place of flowers. In one outlet there is a central berry (it always ripens first) and 3-8 lateral.
5. If you are not around during flowering and there is no one to pour raspberries on, the fruits may be weak - too small or asymmetrical. But do not take this for a disease: just next year, thoroughly water the black raspberries, and you will get a good and beautiful crop.
