Winter plum compote without sterilization
I propose to cook a simple and tasty compote of plums for the winter without sterilization. The recipe is designed for a 3 liter jar, which is very convenient. Preparation is simple and will become a real find at the right time.
After all, any feast needs some kind of soft drinks. And in order not to buy sweet water and juices in the store, the quality and safety of which we will doubt, you can just go down to the cellar or pantry room and get a couple of jars of aromatic, tasty, and most importantly, safe compote.
This recipe is very simple, even the most inexperienced hostess will cope with it. In general, stewed fruit is the easiest type of preparation to prepare, from which it is best to start rolling up for the winter. Plum homemade compote leaves saturated, tasty, good thirst quenching. He is also very beautiful and bright in color. So write down this recipe to yourself in a notebook and quickly grasp the preparation of the drink.
Ingredients (per jar, three liters):
- plums - 500-600 g;
- sugar - 150 g;
- water - 2500 ml;
- cinnamon - a pinch;
How to make compote from plums for the winter
The jar is simply washed thoroughly, no need to sterilize, since we will put unwashed fruits in it. Throw the lid into the stewpan and boil for five minutes. It is worth noting that cinnamon is not necessary to add to the compote. But this spice reveals the taste of the drink from a new perspective. Therefore, you can make one can of classic compote from plums, and one with a flavoring additive. We wash the plums, select unsuitable specimens and remove from the total mass. Using a knife, cut each fruit in half, remove the seeds.
One-third of the jars are filled with halves of plums.
Pour boiling water over the plums for a quarter of an hour.
After that, we throw cinnamon into the drained water. Bring to a boil and pour 150 g of sugar. We try syrup for sugar. Add more if necessary.
Now we can fill it in a jar to the very top.
We cover the finished compote from plums with lids.
