Tomatoes with plums
Try to prepare tomatoes for the winter with plum "Lick your fingers" according to our recipe with a photo. Delicious pickled tomatoes can often be found both in the pantry of a good housewife and on the shelves of supermarkets. But, if the traditional dish is already tired of the order, you can experiment a little with the recipe, and try adding an additional ingredient to the jar with bright tomatoes. For example, plums. This combination seems a little strange at first glance, but in reality plums add sweetness to the dish, without spoiling the usual taste. Serve canning on one large dish. The combination of fruits and vegetables looks very impressive, and, of course, immediately attracts the attention of guests.
Ingredients:
- tomatoes (cream) - 1 kg;
- plums - 0.5 kg;
- garlic - 1 head;
- black pepper peas - 12 pieces .;
- chili pepper - to taste;
- salt - 2 full tbsp. l .;
- sugar (white) - 1 tbsp. l .;
- vegetable oil - a tablespoon;
- water - 0.5 l .;
- vinegar - 2 tbsp;
- parsley greens.
How to cook tomatoes with plums "Lick your fingers"
First, we prepare the main ingredients: wash the plums and tomatoes well, get rid of the tails. We also clean the garlic and wash all the cloves.
Prepared ingredients are enough for two liter cans of finished products.
Next, remove the plum seeds and check that there are no worms.
We put all the ingredients in clean and steamed jars: chili pepper - a couple of slices, plums, tomatoes, parsley - all mixed up.
Pour boiling water over everything.
After that, complete the jars should be covered and left alone for 20 minutes.
Then we replace the usual metal lid with a new one, with special containers and pour the liquid into the pan.
Add garlic and peppercorns to the jar.
And in a pot of water - sugar, salt, vinegar and butter. We bring the marinade to a boil, and then it is poured into jars.
After that we roll up the jars and wrap them with a blanket. When the workpieces have cooled, they must be transferred to the cellar or pantry.
There they will wait in the wings to remind the hostess and guests about the summer in winter.
