Seeds of cucumbers for seedlings
Of all the vegetable crops, it is cucumbers that grow the fastest. It's about seedlings. From the moment the first growth appears, about 15 days should pass and the culture can already be planted in open ground. That is, if you plant cucumber seeds in early April, you can plant them in mid-April. Time to calculate is easy and simple even for a beginner gardener.
It is important to properly prepare the seeds of cucumbers so that they sprout quickly and in the maximum quantity. To do this, soak them in a solution of sodium chloride. Three grams of salt are taken per hundred ml of water. If the seeds are empty, then they will pop up immediately: they need to be put aside, because such seeds will never germinate.
When the seeds are selected, you will have to soak them again. This is done to kill possible pest larvae. It is necessary to make a solution of potassium permanganate, which takes one gram per hundred ml. Put the seeds for an hour, and then rinse them in running water. It remains before planting to lay the seeds in a wet cloth for several days, when they germinate, then you can safely plant them in the ground.
Important! If you plan to plant seedlings immediately in the open ground, then the cucumbers will need to be accustomed to lower temperatures. To do this, the processed and swollen seeds are placed in the refrigerator for several days at the germination stage.
Transplant seedlings of cucumbers in the open ground can be on 15-20 days from the moment the first leaves appeared. Moreover, seedlings can be planted in greenhouses already from April 20, but in open ground under a film on May 10, without shelter, seedlings of cucumbers can be planted immediately in the ground, only from June 2.
In April, work is in full swing not only in the garden, but at home on the windowsill. You need to have time to plant the seeds of many crops, as well as flowers, in order to get a wonderful crop and a flowering garden.
