Fleashentomaten belongs to a variety not yet common for our area. Included in the Flashen group of tomatoes bred by German breeders. Translated, Flaschentomaten sounds like a “bottle-shaped tomato”. Those who have already tried to plant this variety at home appreciate it for their yield and taste.

Grade description

Refers to mid-ripening. Fruits begin to ripen on 105-115 days after planting seedlings. It is recommended for cultivation, both in greenhouses, and in the open ground.

The variety is water-loving, but watering should be regulated. In dry weather it is necessary to water once every 2 days, in cool and wet - once every 5 days, with standing water. Water should be warm. Failure to do so may result in fungal infections. A sign of insufficient watering is falling flowers and ovaries.

Interesting! Variety Flashentomaten is not included in the State Register of Russia, since it has yet to undergo many biological tests.

The variety has the following advantages:

  • resistance to tomato diseases;
  • high productivity;
  • long fruiting period;
  • the sweet taste of tomatoes;
  • decorative appearance;
  • moderate amount of greenery.

The disadvantages include: the large size of the bush, as a result of which it is necessary to tie and pinch, as well as the tendency of the plant to apical rot.

Fruits of this variety are universal in use. They produce delicious fresh salads, tomatoes are ideal for decorative and stuffed dishes, for drying. They are convenient as preservation due to their small size. Due to the dense skin and thick fleshy walls, they do not crack from hot marinades. They can even be frozen. In addition, tomato makes sweet sauces and juices.

Fruits easily tolerate transportation, they are well stored, and ripped fruits ripen at home.

The variety is famous for the duration of fruiting. The plant gives a decent harvest, even at the first frost. Fleashentomaten is resistant to changing weather conditions.

Characteristics of the fruit and plants

The appearance of the fetus is very interesting. It has a finger-shaped (or pepper-shaped) shape with a small pointed nose. Due to the fact that the variety has not yet fully stabilized, one can also find other modified forms of fruits.

In the technical stage, ripeness is bright red; in the biological stage, tomatoes are light green. The skin is glossy, smooth and even, with a small amount of seeds inside. Tomatoes grow on branches, forming large brushes. The weight of each fruit is about 40-65 g, and 6-8 cm in length. From one bush, the yield can be 7 kg.

It is necessary to ensure air temperature in the region of 22-24 degrees. Shoots appear on the seventh day. After 7-9 weeks, seedlings can be planted at a constant place of growth, according to the scheme of 4-6 plants per 1 square meter.

The plant is recommended to be planted on a site where there is no shadow formation during the day, otherwise the fruit will ripen for a long time.

For the test, I planted only one bush, and the crop was enough for conservation and to eat fresh. Do not stepchild. Periodically treated with calcium nitrate and decoction of oak bark, as the variety is susceptible to vertex rot.

I've been planting for the second year now. In the first season, according to my observations, there were very few fruits, but in the second year, they covered the tomatoes with a wall. The fruits in both years were sweet to disgrace. Tasty, juicy. I really enjoyed eating them fresh. They are also good for pickles due to their compact size.
