Planting and growing seedlings

The planting period for seedlings of this variety is 60 days from the moment of sowing of seed material. Purchased seeds are checked before planting for the presence of delight.

Tomato seeds are sown in prepared boxes of earth at the beginning of March. The composition of the soil includes black soil and peat. The seed material is deepened by 0.5 cm, sprinkled with earth and carefully watered. Having covered the film with containers, they are moved to a warm, bright place (temperature +25).

Advice! To speed up the germination process, it is better to pre-soak the seeds.

The film is removed after emergence. The first week the air temperature should be 14-15 degrees, gradually increase it to 23 degrees.

Seedlings are transplanted into individual pots after the appearance of three leaves in the plant.

Pasynkovka is carried out when the seedlings have grown to 4 -5 cm. They are formed into 2 shoots.Removing stepsons allows you to plant bushes denser.

A week before transplanting, seedlings are tempered. They are taken to fresh air for several hours a day. A couple of days before planting, three lower leaves are cut off from young bushes, this will protect the tomatoes from diseases.

Two months after sowing seeds, seedlings are transferred to a greenhouse or to open soil. By this time, young plants already have 8-10 leaves and one inflorescence. A tall plant is planted in a hole, a depth of at least 20 cm. Ash (1 l), humus (1 l) and superphosphate (15 g) are placed in the hole. Seedlings are planted 50 cm apart. 3 bushes are planted per square meter. Wells are covered with mulch.

Care Rules

The bushes have weak side shoots and high growth, so they put support and make a garter for them. To increase the yield, plants need to be formed.

Water the tomatoes regularly, but in moderation. Young bushes are watered more often.

Attention! If the leaves began to curl, then the plant does not have enough moisture.

The first top dressing is added to the soil three weeks after the transfer of seedlings to the garden. Composition: potassium chloride 10 g, superphosphate 50 g. The second time fertilizer is applied during the formation of the first ovaries: potassium nitrate 20 g and liquid superphosphate 80 g. The bushes are fertilized with the same composition during the fruit ripening period (two top dressings).

Do not forget to weed the weed around the seedlings.

Disease resistance

The Pink Heart variety is disease resistant, but brown rot fungus can harm plants. If the bush is completely damaged by the fungus, it is removed and burned. Adding nitrogen and removing damaged foliage will help prevent infection. Melons and aphids are removed using the Bison preparation. Scattered ash helps against slugs.

Observing several rules of prevention, you can avoid unnecessary problems:

  • spray the bushes with special preparations once every 10 days;
  • disinfect the greenhouse and tools;
  • ventilate the greenhouse;
  • proper watering mode;
  • mulching around the holes with hay, dry grass, sawdust;
  • timely top dressing will strengthen plant immunity.

Regions for growing tomatoes

This tomato variety is intended for growing in greenhouse conditions. He does not tolerate cold and windy weather. In the southern regions of the country, tomatoes quietly ripen in open ground. In Central Russia, bushes are grown under a film. In the northern regions, tomatoes grow safely only in greenhouses.

Pink Heart Tomato Reviews

Margarita, Bryansk

Tomatoes Pink heart amicably rose and pleased with strong seedlings. I grew tomatoes in a greenhouse, planted several plants in the garden. The harvest was not high, I think I did not create the necessary conditions for this. But the fruits are very tasty and juicy. They quickly ate everything, so there was nothing left for canning.

Olga, Leningrad Region

I chose tomatoes from the photo, I liked the look very much. The taste also did not disappoint. The pulp is sweet and fleshy. In the greenhouse, each bush gave at least two kilograms of tomatoes.

Valentina, Kursk

Tomatoes have spoiled for fame - both large and tasty. The only thing I didn’t like was a small crop.
