When to plant and when to dive
Early-ripe hybrid cabbage needs to be planted on seedlings in the middle of the first spring month. Yes, yes, you need to do this so early that in the summer to get a fresh head of cabbage. But when to dive cabbage and at what distance? This process is very delicate, so keeping a deadline should be strictly required. Dive cabbage, the seeds of which were planted in mid-March, should be in early April. By early May, pickled cabbage can already be transplanted to a permanent habitat.
Subtleties of the process: from landing to picking
Cabbage Seeds should be soaked for several minutes in warm water and treated with a weak solution of potassium permanganate. And only after that the seeds can be planted in a container with soil. You should carefully select the soil, giving preference to proven gardening shops, so that it does not happen that the spores and viral diseases are present in the soil. If you still have any doubts about the "sterility" of the soil, then you should pour it into an iron container and send it to a heated oven for 15 minutes. After that, the earth should be allowed to cool, then it should be treated with a weak solution of potassium permanganate. When this procedure (if there is a need for it) is completed, you can plant the seeds prepared in advance.
After 2-3 days, the seeds will begin to germinate. As soon as this happens, the containers with planted seeds should be rearranged in a well-lit place, and watch out for that. So that the temperature in this place does not rise above 22 degrees. Cabbage will need 20 days in such conditions, so that it gives the first leaves. As soon as two full leaves are formed at the cabbage, then the time has come when you need to dive the cabbage and watch how far this is done.
A pick is best done with a teaspoon. 10 hours before the start of the pick, you should properly water the soil. Wet soil will allow you to get seedlings along with lumps of land without grass and damage, and soil from the roots will not crumble. Best for diving cabbage, low basins or balcony drawers are suitable. At what distance do you need to dive cabbage? The extracted seedlings with lumps of earth must be planted in a checkerboard pattern, observing a distance of 7-8 centimeters from each other.
If tanks with diameters of 5 centimeters are available, cabbage can be dived into them. During a dive, make sure that the root of the cabbage does not bend. Otherwise, it will grow crooked. Before sending seedlings to a new habitat, a small depression should be made with a finger in a container with earth, then water it and plant seedlings, sprinkling them lightly with earth. After diving, cabbage seedlings need greenhouse conditions. It should be protected from drafts, and should be monitored with a temperature that should vary from 23 to 26 degrees. When the seedlings take root and take root, you can lower the temperature to 18-22 degrees.
It is very important to know when dive cabbage and at what distance, since this is the key to its continued successful growth and maturation. In order to enjoy fresh and crisp cabbage, it should be borne in mind that its seeds need to be picked.
Good luck in the beds!
