Thanks to the tireless efforts of vegetable growers' originators, seeking to increase productivity and resistance to many adverse factors, about 20 years ago a new variety of sweet pepper “Agapovsky” was developed, which is distinguished by good qualities and a wonderful taste. The main feature of the variety is increased productivity and lack of problems in the growing process. Even gardeners who do not have enough experience got the opportunity to collect an excellent pepper crop by planting "Agapovsky" on their site.

Variety "Agapovsky" is mid-season, after all, from the beginning of seedlings to its biological ripeness, 110-120 days pass. The bushes are medium-sized, characterized by compactness and increased foliage growth of a saturated dark green color. The fruits are quite large, prismatic type with a pronounced weak ribbing of the walls with a thickness of 6-8 mm. In the stage of technical ripeness, the weight of each fruit is about 110-125 grams, amounting to a total yield of 10 kg per square meter.

At the stage of technical maturity, the vegetable contains per 100 g of mass:

  • ascorbic acid 205 mg;
  • sugar 3.6%;
  • carbohydrates 6.5%.

"Agapovsky" has increased resistance to viruses and lesions of all kinds of fungi. However, under weather conditions with increased humidity and lowering night temperatures, plants may undergo vertebral rot disease. Having picked up the appropriate fungicide, to fight this unpleasant disease and after processing according to the instructions, you can get a decent crop of peppers without loss. When dry weather is established on the bushes, aphids and spider mites are very often populated. The nearby planted animals will help scare away these predators: basil, black-ragged men, and marigolds.

Seedlings pepper

Prepare for sowing seeds of sweet pepper begin from the first of February. To stimulate growth, soaking peppers of pepper in any stimulant is recommended for 10-15 hours. After a little drying, the seeds are directly embedded in the soil. A week before planting it in open ground, seedlings must be hardened.
