Why seedlings are pulled and what to do with it

Growing seedlings requires considerable strength. High-quality work will allow transplanting plants into the soil on the beds. But often gardeners are faced with the problem of stretching the sprouts, insufficient thickness of the stem. With improper care, the leaves begin to turn yellow and fade. It is difficult for such a plant to adapt to growth in open soil. Poor care leads to crop loss.

Why seedlings are pulled

If there are problems with plants, then measures should be taken to eliminate them. Mistakes during cultivation lead to insufficient flowering and yield. To determine how to act in this situation, it is necessary to identify the essence of the problem. Incorrect planting dates can lead to a knockdown of the biological rhythm of the culture. With early planting, the sprouts will begin to stretch prematurely when the weather outside is unfavorable. Growth will continue in a cramped pot with a lack of light and space.

Lack of lighting leads to elongation of seedlings. It is necessary to use artificial lighting correctly, since daylight hours are not so big. If the plant is exposed to elevated temperatures, the root system develops worse. During the emergence of seedlings, the temperature should be about 15 degrees. Then the roots will be able to form correctly. Artificial temperature changes are well suited.

Excess water is a negative factor for plants. Watering is done every 5 days. If the earth dries quickly, then irrigation should be a little more frequent. With moist soil, on the contrary, do less. A large number of crops leads to competition between crops. Thickness leads to the extension of the sprouts. It is necessary to dive into separate containers in a timely manner.

Improper feeding mode affects the growth of the root system. First, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied. After 11 days, it is recommended to use nitrogen-containing ones.

Features of planting seedlings in the ground

2 weeks before the procedure, the soil must be treated. They dig it up, make the necessary fertilizers. A solution of potassium permanganate or tree ash is added to the dug holes.

Before planting, seedlings must be prepared:

• 14 days before planting, tempered by exposing cups with seedlings to a balcony or street;
• gradually increase their time outside the greenhouse;
• 2 days before transplantation stop watering;
• before transplanting, water abundantly.

Peppers and eggplant are planted 5 pieces per square meter in increments of 25 cm and a distance between rows of 55 cm. The top is nipped at the peppers. Eggplant deepen in the groundcutting off the bottom leaves. Cabbage and tomatoes are planted staggered 50x50 cm. Tomatoes are planted horizontally and sprinkled to the top leaves. Or cut off the tops by 5 centimeters and root in the ground. At the cabbage, pinch the root.

Cucumber seedlings are planted in increments of 30 cm, row spacing is about 80 cm. Cucumbers, pumpkin and melon have flexible stems, therefore they are rolled into a ring and sprinkled with soil. Cloves and petunias are planted to the depth of cotyledon leaves. If the stem is long, the top is cut off. Marigolds recommend not deepening.

Vegetables that love heat (eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and peppers) are planted at a temperature of at least 17 degrees in the afternoon. Such weather forms in late May, when at night it is more than 11 degrees Celsius.

Pulling sprouts is a major problem when growing seedlings. To avoid it, temperature and light conditions should be observed. Timely watering and fertilizing are also necessary. To properly transplant crops into the open ground, it is recommended to follow a turn-based strategy. Proper preparation will help them take root in the new conditions.
