Everyone wants to come up with something original for their beloved summer cottage or home. It is very simple to make curtains of paper clips with your own hands and hang them on a door or arched opening.
This work can be done as a family with the children. It will not hurt to watch TV, you can deal with it when it rains or the power is turned off.
To work, you will need:
- paper clips
- scissors
- postcards.
If there are no postcards, then colored paper is suitable.
Step-by-step instructions for making curtains from paper clips and postcards with your own hands
Step 1. First you need to cut the cards into strips with a width corresponding to the length of the paper clip minus 2-4 mm and a length corresponding to the width of the paper clip multiplied by four. For example, the size of the paperclip is 0.5 cm and 2 cm. Then the strips should be 1.6-1.8 cm wide and 2-2.2 cm long. You can choose the size experimentally. Finished strips should be bent in half with the bright side out and each side in half still inward.
Step 2. Then you need to carefully insert a paper clip into the resulting “booklet”. The beginning of the curtains of paper clips and postcards laid.
Step 3. Now the next paperclip is put on the first element of the curtain, and on it is a bent strip of a postcard and so on.
Advice! It is better to immediately cut more strips, bend them and choose blanks by color so that large pieces of the same color do not turn out. For example, one is bright, the other is pale, the next is with sparkles, etc.
Step 4. When enough chains of the necessary length are made, curtains from paper clips can be hung on a doorway.
Step 5. To do this, fill small nails on a glazing bead or thin block, paint and nail over the door. Put chains on nails and the original curtain is ready. As a temporary option - cloves can be driven directly above the doorway.
It is possible to carry out curtains in one color and to add paper clips with beads.
Using curtains
Such a curtain will be appropriate on the veranda, and in the house, and in the attic. When someone passes through it, she makes a pleasant rattle, notifying that someone has entered.
Such curtains will help to flourish a boring interior or zoning the space. If a small part breaks or is lost, then replacing it will not be difficult.
Such curtains from ordinary paper clips can cover mezzanines or some niche. They will decorate gazebo on the site and, with their rustle in the wind, flying insects are scared away.
In short, the scope of their application is quite wide and the appearance is very attractive.
