Although the wasps do not harm much in the areas, and even in the city there is no damage from them at all, they sometimes attack people for no reason. Finding wasps is not so difficult, for the most part they are built in places inaccessible to humans, for example:

  • under the skin of the house;
  • in the attic;
  • under the roof;
  • in the pipes.

Less commonly, nests can be found in the ground or undergrowth. It is easy to recognize them, it is usually round with a hole to the bottom and a gray color formation. If you find a hornet's nest in the attic of your house or in a plot in the country, you need to get rid of it carefully.

The bite can be harmless, but often it causes an allergic reaction. A few bites, in general, can become dangerous to life and health.

Methods for eliminating wasp nests

There are folk ways to deal with wasp nests. So many just burn them, after pouring gasoline on them. However, this is quite dangerous, because you can easily provoke a fire. But in the fight against above-ground nests, this is perhaps the most effective way.

On a note!
It is widely believed that if a red cloth soaked in resin from a fruit tree is hung on a nest, then the wasps will leave it within three weeks and fly away forever. Experienced gardeners believe that insects do not like excessive noise and vibration, which can also help in the fight against them.

Of the most effective ways fighting aspen nests Three can be distinguished:

  1. Use of chemicals or poisons. Chemicals are absolutely available for this, since any means are suitable for controlling insects. You can isolate the room and put poison there. This method is also called smoking. Of course, it is necessary to take all security measures, in particular to clean the room from people and pets. However, this method is not suitable for nests located in open space. More efficiently, the technique can be applied using the package. This also requires security measures. Clothes should be tight so that the wasp could not pierce it with a sting, and a protective net should be put on the head. First, gently pull the bag over the nest and tie it tightly at the base so that the wasps do not fly apart and do not actively attack. Then make a small hole and run the chemical inside. For the poison to work and kill all the insects, you need to wait two to three hours. And after making sure that there is no buzzing inside, just throw it away. Although it will be more efficient and more correct to carefully burn it.
  2. The second method is also effective, but more dangerous, since an error will put the wasps in a state of defense and force them to start an attack on everything that is nearby. In a container of a suitable size, pour high-temperature water and lower the nest into it. Alternatively, you can put a container on the nest so that you don’t personally touch it.For greater security, you can first put a bag on the nest, as in the first case, but this time make some very small holes in it. Boiling water in a short time will destroy all insects, after which, you can safely get rid of it.
  3. Use of boric acid and bait. The method is absolutely safe for humans, besides the cheapest. The easiest way is to dilute the acid in sweet water at the rate of twenty grams of boron per half liter of water and leave it in an open container near the nest. The capacity can be any, even a simple bowl or plate, the main thing is that it be with wide edges. So the wasps will get the best access to it. You can use not only water, but various sweet fruits, for example, slices of melon or ripe apples. Here the principle is the same, pump boric acid into the fruit and leave it near the nest. Unlike other methods, this one takes longer. It will take about seven to nine days to get rid of all wasps.
Attention!
After getting rid of the nest, it is necessary to quickly and efficiently process the place chosen by wasps. Without these measures, new insects will settle there.

In order not to encounter wasps at all, you should carefully monitor your site. Take the fruits in time before they begin to deteriorate and attract insects. And also constantly check attics and buildings intended for household needs. Keep order and clean there. As a rule, this is enough to protect not only from evil wasps, but also from many other pests.
