What types of paving slabs exist

• granite.

Vibrocast tile

The composition of the solution for the material is as follows:

Vibropressed Tile

Unlike vibrocast tiles, vibropressed is made as follows: the concrete mixture is placed in the matrix, the punch is lowered from above. Under the influence of oscillations, the mass is compacted.

Among the advantages, it can be noted that the tile is resistant to external factors, full automation of production, as well as reduced abrasion.

Granite Paving Slabs

Granite is a natural material that works great as a tile.

Like the previous options, it has several advantages:

• suitable form for any styling scheme;
• never forms cracks or dents;
• absolute environmental friendliness.

Laying schemes for paving slabs

There are many options for laying paving slabs. Today we will consider the most popular of them in summer cottages:

• spoons. In short, the spoons layout is a tracked type. Depending on the direction of the tile, you can change the appearance of the track on the site. For example, if you lay the tiles in length, you will feel like a long and narrow path. If you lay the paving stones sideways, visually the path will become wider, but shorter;
• network. This type of styling is classic. With the help of tiles of various shapes, the formation of a square is achieved. Moreover, it is necessary to alternate laying: the first square is laid sideways, the second - vertically, the third - again in length, and so on to the end of the track;
• circular pattern. To form such a scheme, you need a wedge-shaped tile shape. The narrowed part of the whetstone will always face the inside of the circle;
• Christmas tree. To create such a path, it is necessary to lay the tiles at angles of 45 and 90 degrees. In addition to external beauty, such a scheme has several advantages compared to other tiles. For example, a herringbone significantly increases the strength of the sidewalk, as well as visually reduces or increases the space depending on the chosen angle.

Advantages and disadvantages of paving slabs

Also, this building material is not without drawbacks:

• paving slabs will never give exact and equal joints. Therefore, dirt can often be seen between the pieces, which gives the track a sloppy and groomed appearance;
• at low temperatures, freezing of paving slabs is possible, which makes it very slippery;
• it is necessary to observe the technology of laying the material in order to avoid its shrinkage.

Despite the presence of shortcomings, tiles are excellent options for laying a track on a personal plot. A variety of shapes and colors will allow you to choose the right option even for the most rigorous exterior.
