- orange - 3 pcs.;
- granulated sugar - 300 g;
- water - 150 ml;

- lemon.
How to Make Candied Orange Peels
Wash oranges peel thoroughly before cooking. Citrus fruits are usually treated with pesticides and fruit wax, so we recommend washing the peel with a sponge with an abrasive layer and a dishwashing detergent. The washed fruit is thoroughly rinsed, peeled.
Cut the orange peel into small slices, put in a saucepan, pour water. Bring to a boil, cook for 10 minutes. At this stage, in addition to orange peels, you can also add lemon peels.
After 10 minutes, throw the crusts into a colander. We change the water 3 times, each time we bring to a boil and boil, thus getting rid of bitterness and harmful substances.
The last water can be slightly salted, in it we cook the crust for about 30 minutes.
Pour hot water into the stewpan, pour granulated sugar, squeeze the juice from half a lemon. Bring the syrup to a boil, boil for a couple of minutes.
We transfer the boiled peels to syrup, bring to a boil, close the lid, cook for 1-1.5 hours.
If a lot of liquid remains in the stewpan, then 15-20 minutes before cooking, remove the lid and boil the candied fruits on a small fire in the stewpan without a lid.
Put the candied fruit on the parchment evenly, dry it for several hours at room temperature.
Roll candied fruit in sugar, put into a jar or a metal box.
Store in a sealed container in a dry and dark place at room temperature.
Bon Appetit.
