Home-style dried fruit and nut sweets
The choice of sweets in stores is huge, for every taste and for any event. And, it would seem, why waste time on what you can buy? Buy - yes, it’s not a problem, only the taste of purchased sweets is often synthetic, the filling is saturated with flavorings, and chocolate reminds of putty at all. You cannot call such sweets neither delicious, nor even safer. Another thing is candy cooked at home. You know exactly what they added, and the proportions can be adjusted to your taste. But you don’t need to immediately take on complex recipes with two dozen ingredients, no matter how spectacular the finished dessert looks. First, prepare lean sweets from dried fruits and nuts. They are prepared according to this step-by-step recipe with photos quickly, from natural available products, they turn out to be very tasty, appetizing.
You can treat such guests to sweets and feast on the tea yourself.

How to make dried fruit candy
We carefully wash dried apricots and raisins with warm water. Then pour boiling water for ten minutes, steam until soft. Drain the water, dry the dried fruit on a towel.
Remove the seeds from the prunes. If you get hard, too dry, pour boiling water, too, and when it is steamed, take out a stone.
Pour nuts into a dry hot frying pan. While stirring, slightly dry, so that the nuts show a taste and the bitterness disappears. Having cooled, we clean from brown husk.
Pour raisins, dried apricots, prunes, peeled nuts and coconut flakes into a blender bowl or a tall glass. Or use a meat grinder.
Grind into a thick slurry with small pieces of fruit pulp and nuts. We taste it. It happens that prunes are very sour, almost without sweetness. In this case, add sugar to taste in minced meat.
We pick up a teaspoon of the resulting minced meat and roll small balls with our palms. Roll in coconut flakes (you can take both fresh coconut flakes and dried coconut flakes) and brown sugar. Another breading is not suitable for these sweets: cocoa will interrupt the taste, and powdered sugar will melt. We remove the sweets in the refrigerator for half an hour or an hour.
We serve delicious homemade dried fruit sweets with tea or just as a dessert. If anything remains, store in a refrigerator in a tightly closed container. Bon Appetit!
