Stewed cabbage with potatoes is a simple and very tasty everyday dish that will appeal to all family members.
Cooking potatoes with cabbage is pretty easy. This recipe with a photo is a standard cooking option, you can add a mix of various vegetables to it as you wish, you can add meat or mushrooms. You can also stew cabbage with potatoes in sauce: you can experiment with tomato sauce, cream, sour cream.
For cooking, both an oven and an ordinary frying pan or pan are suitable.
Serve such cabbage to the table in addition to fresh vegetables, homemade pickles, with the addition of greens, sauce.Ingredients:
- cabbage - 150 g;
- carrots - 1 pc.;
- onions - 1 pc.;
- potatoes - 3-4 pcs.;
- salt, pepper - to taste;
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l .;
- water - 70 ml.
How to cook stewed cabbage with potatoes
Prepare all products on a list. Peel onions, rinse, dry. Chop the onion into small cubes.
Peel the carrots, then wash and dry them. You can grate carrots on a medium grater or cut into cubes.
Next, turn the cabbage - rinse it, remove the top leaves. Cut the cabbage into thin strips.
Peel and wash the potatoes, dry. Cut tubers into large cubes.
Warm vegetable oil in a pan, transfer cabbage, carrots and onions, fry vegetables for several minutes, then add potato sticks to the pan.
Pour salt and ground pepper into the pan and add spices. Pour water into the vegetables, cover the pan with a lid, simmer for 30 minutes on the smallest fire.
