Oven baked potatoes with cheese, mayonnaise and garlic
Baked potatoes in the oven with cheese, mayonnaise and garlic are so delicious that they will decorate any holiday table, and on weekdays it will be a great option for a hearty, tasty dinner.
Cooking according to this recipe with a photo is very simple: we cut raw potatoes in rounds or slices, slices, mix with a filling of mayonnaise, garlic and spices, put in a mold and sprinkle with cheese chips. We put in a hot oven and wait until everything is ready.
It is advisable to choose cheese with a fat content of at least 50% so that it not only melts completely, but also forms a soft golden crust. In mayonnaise sauce, you can put a little granular mustard, and for lovers of hot side dishes add ground chili or more black pepper.
Ingredients:
- potato tubers - 8-10 pcs;

- thick mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. l;
- garlic - 5-6 cloves;
- salt to taste;
- hard cheese - 200 gr;
- turmeric, paprika, black pepper - 0.5 tsp;
- mustard with grains - 2 tsp.
How to cook oven-baked potatoes with cheese
Cut the peel from the potatoes, rinse the tubers and cut into round slices about 2 cm thick.
It is not necessary to add onions, but with it it will turn out tastier and juicier. We cut the onions in half, then shred the half rings of arbitrary thickness.
For the sauce, mix thick mayonnaise, mustard, turmeric, paprika or ground chili, black pepper. If one of the proposed spices does not fit, change to another or select your composition.
After mixing mayonnaise, mustard and spices, rub the garlic cloves into the sauce.
Pour the potatoes into a deep bowl, add salt, pour the sauce and mix well to get the sauce on each slice.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Lubricate the mold with lard or vegetable, butter. Spread half the potatoes. Sprinkle onions on potatoes.
Cover the onion with the rest of the potatoes, pour over the sauce. Grind the cheese through a coarse grater. Sprinkle the top layer of potatoes with a lush layer of cheese chips. Cover or tightly tighten with foil.
We send potatoes to the oven, put the form on the middle tier. Bake for about an hour, until soft. We check with a fork or knife - open the form, pierce the potatoes to the bottom. If the knife comes in easily, the potatoes are ready. If there are tight pieces, bring to readiness. We serve baked potatoes as the main hot dish or as a side dish for meat, chicken, fish.
