Pumpkin does not have a bright taste, so you need something sour - lemon, lime, you can grapefruit. We do not recommend adding citric acid, it is better to use natural products.

To make a dietary version of this dish, replace sugar with any sweetener - you get a low-calorie dessert.

It will take 60 minutes to cook. Of these ingredients, 6 servings will be obtained.

 

Ingredients:

  • raw pumpkin - 650 g;
  • granulated sugar - 300 g;
  • lemon - 1 \ 2 pcs.;

How to make pumpkin marmalade

Peel the orange pumpkin. Remove a tablespoon of seeds and soft flesh. Grind the thick pulp - rub on a coarse grater or cut into small cubes.

Put the chopped pumpkin in a pan, pour a little hot water on the bottom. Water needs just a little bit - no more than 50 ml, so that in the first stage, before the juice begins to stand out, the vegetables do not burn.

We put the pan on the fire, close the lid, boil on a small fire for 30 minutes. It is necessary that the pumpkin is completely softened, so the cooking time depends on the type of vegetable.

Next, wipe the boiled pumpkin through a sieve - this way you can get rid of seeds and peel leftovers that accidentally fell. If you are sure that there are no foreign inclusions, then chop the vegetables in a blender.

Next, add sugar to the pumpkin puree, squeeze the juice from half a lemon, mix.

Again we put the pan on the stove, boil the mashed potatoes until it thickens - with stirring, the mass will easily separate from the walls of the pan. This will take about 30-40 minutes.

The boiled mashed potatoes are transferred to dry sterilized jars or laid out on a baking sheet covered with parchment with a layer of about 2 centimeters.
