Apple pastille - a simple recipe without sugar
How to surprise a child with something tasty and healthy? A good substitute for sweets can be apple pastille, which is easy to make on your own at home.
This delicacy will also appeal to many adults leading a healthy lifestyle, as it is prepared absolutely without sugar. Diet candy and will not allow excess kilograms to be deposited.Such a sweetness is natural and does not require special expenses for its preparation. For this simple recipe, only apples and water are needed.
Ingredients:
- apples -2 kg.,
- water - 500 ml.
How to make apple pastille
I wash and peel the apples from the core, optionally peel the fruits from the peel.
Cut the fruit into slices and send it to a pot of water. Water should cover the apples about 1 centimeter.
We put apples on the fire, let it boil under the lid.
Next, reduce the heat and continue to boil the fruit for 1-3 hours. We continue the process until the apples boil, and the water evaporates.
We send the fruits in a colander so that the glass has excess liquid, and at the same time give it the opportunity to cool.
Puree apples with a blender or wipe them through a fine metal sieve.
Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, a little grease with butter, and spread the applesauce evenly. The layer of mashed potatoes should not be more than 5 millimeters.
We put the baking sheet in the oven, dry the apples at a temperature of 100 °, to the desired density. This process will take approximately 4 -5 hours.
We get the pastille and turn it over, removing the parchment. We send to dry for another 1 hour.
We check readiness by pressing a finger - the marshmallow should not stick, but at the same time should not be overdried.
Cut the chilled product into portioned rectangles and fold into a tube. If the tubes unfold, you can fix them with a thread.
