How to make a French Mistress salad
Boil chicken fillet in salted water until tender. To make the meat the most flavorful, also add bay leaf and a few peas of allspice to the water. Cool the prepared meat and cut it into cubes.
Peel and chop onions into small cubes. Prepare the marinade: mix water, sugar and vinegar in a bowl. Transfer the chopped onion to the marinade and leave for 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, pour raisins with boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Then strain well onion and raisins.
To make the salad beautiful and neat, use the confectionery ring when assembling it. Set the ring and lay the chopped chicken meat in the first layer. Press well so that the fillet forms a dense layer.
The next step is pickled onions.
Then grease everything with mayonnaise. It is very convenient to squeeze out mayonnaise using a pastry bag.
Steamed and cooled raisins spread on top.
Raisins are followed by a dense layer of fresh carrots, grated for Korean carrots or chopped very thin straws. Lubricate with mayonnaise again.
The next layer is grated hard cheese.
Then sprinkle liberally with chopped walnut.
Put the ready-made salad “French Mistress” with chicken and walnuts in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes, so that it is saturated and all tastes are “friends” among themselves. Then gently free from the confectionery ring, decorate as you wish and serve. Bon Appetit!
