Turkish Bean Asparagus
Asparagus beans can be prepared in many ways. One cooking option is an asparagus bean recipe with meat. This recipe is from Turkey, pepper paste is used in the original, but with us it can be replaced with the usual tomato paste, it will turn out no less tasty.
You will need:
- asparagus beans - about 1 kg;
- 2 medium tomatoes;
- vegetable (preferably olive) oil;
- tomato paste - 1 tsp;
- beef - 200 g;
- 1 small onion;
- garlic (1-2 cloves);
- 2 small potatoes.
How to Make Asparagus Beans with Meat
Finely chop the meat (1 × 1 cm cubes), fry in a deep saucepan over low heat.
Chop the onion.
When the meat liquid has evaporated, pour a little quality olive oil and stir the onion in it.
Peel the tomatoes and garlic.
Grind in a blender with tomato paste.
Add the resulting mashed potatoes to the meat pan when the onions are fried until transparent, continue to fry for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour about 1 liter into the pan. water, keep on low heat after boiling until the meat is ready (i.e. when it becomes soft).
Wash the asparagus beans, if necessary, cut the stiff ribs, cut not very large.
Put it in a pan when the meat is already a little soft (half cooked), cook until soft on moderate heat for 40-45 minutes.
A quarter of an hour before the asparagus beans are cooked, add potatoes (chopped in cubes 1 × 1 cm) to the pan, salt.
Asparagus beans with meat is ready.
