How to marinate onions deliciously
If you don’t know how to deliciously marinate onions at home, then I hasten to share my recipe, which I use all the time. According to this recipe with a photo, onions are pickled very quickly. It can be safely added not only to salads, but also when you pickle meat.
You can marinate onions in wine, apple or ordinary vinegar. I prefer to use the usual 9%. You can safely conduct an experiment and pickle a vegetable in any other.
To chop the onion “without tears,” I recommend periodically soaking the knife under running water. The second effective way is to put onions in the freezer for literally 7 minutes.
This recipe is suitable for pickling any kind of onion: regular, red or white. Therefore, use the onion that you are used to buying for pickling.
Essential Ingredients:
- bow - 1 joke;
- vinegar 9% - 3 tablespoons;
- water - 3 tablespoons;
- sugar - ½ teaspoon;
- salt - ½ teaspoon.
How to Pickle Onions
With a sharp knife, cut off the edges of the bulb on both sides. Now clean it. Use only a whole, not spoiled bulb.
Put the onion on a board and use a large and sharp knife to cut it into rings. Their thickness should be up to 5 millimeters.
Transfer the chopped rings into a deep bowl or pan. Also, for pickling, you can use a food sudok with a lid or a jar with a twisting lid.
Pour salt and sugar into the chopped rings.
Now pour in room temperature water.
The next and last ingredient will be vinegar.
After the ingredients are added to the onion, gently mix everything.
Leave the onions to marinate. This procedure takes about 20 minutes.
If you want, you can clog this kind of pickled onions in jars, take them out to the pantry and, if necessary, open and use them.
