Salted pies are not only tasty, but also fashionable: many coffee houses, private confectioners and large delivery services offer them to their customers. Quiche, biscuits, yeast pies - all these dishes are popular among lovers of savory pastries.

You can cook something similar in your own kitchen! For example, a pie with cabbage and an egg, which is cooked in the oven and turns out to be juicy and truly satisfying, if you cook it according to this recipe with step-by-step photos. But remember: the dough in this pie should be small, and the fillings - a lot, without it - nowhere!

Well, you also, of course, need two faithful helpers: a piece of butter and a teaspoon of flour. These ingredients will be needed when it comes time to process the baking dish. Take the shape itself with a diameter of up to 24-26 cm. The whisk will also facilitate the kitchen work - they will need to put a yolk on top of the pie.

How to make a pie with cabbage and egg

Remove the butter from the refrigerator first - let it warm up and soften a little. Almost all the butter (except for a piece of about 20 g) will go into the dough, and a small piece will help the cabbage turn into a juicy filling. So, first in a large bowl, pour 1 tbsp. flour and put most of the butter directly on it.

Remember these ingredients with your hands and mix with each other - it will turn out something similar to large flour crumbs.

Divide one of the eggs into protein and yolk: put the yolk in a separate cup (it is useful for greasing the cake), and add the protein to the flour mixture. In addition, beat another whole egg into the dough (only one and a half eggs will go to the dough).

Stir the flour mixture with the egg mass, and then add 8 tablespoons of water to the dough (it is best to take warm water for the dough). Stir the mass with a spoon: it will turn out liquid at this stage.

Pour the remaining flour into a bowl and hand knead the elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. Roll a ball out of it and place in the refrigerator for the duration of the preparation of the filling.

Place the remaining two eggs in a bucket of water and set to boil. Cut the cabbage as it was on a salad: in strips.

Put a piece of butter in a pan and melt completely. Put chopped cabbage in this bowl and fry it in oil for 15 minutes. At the very end, salt and stir once more. Transfer the cabbage filling into a bowl.

The eggs were cooked in the meantime and had time to cool, drenched in extra cold water. Remove the shells from them and cut them into cubes, then send them into a bowl of cabbage and mix.

Lubricate the cake pan with butter and grind it with flour. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, divide it into two unequal parts: a third and two-thirds. Roll out most of it with a rolling pin in the shape of a circle larger in diameter than the bottom of the baking dish. Cover the bottom and the walls of the mold with this circle of dough, spread the stuffing from cabbage and eggs on top.

Roll out the remaining dough in the shape of a circle (this time in diameter it is already about the same as the shape), cover it with a pie, pinch the edges and lay them figured on a pie.

Fork holes across the top of the pie with a fork. And in order for the baking to turn out beautiful and ruddy, grease the whole pie on top with yolk with a whisk.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake cabbage pie in it for half an hour.

The pie with cabbage and egg in the oven is prepared quite simply, and most importantly - the simplest ingredients are used for it. Good appetite!

Tip: if you have young cabbage, you can make a pie with it! In this case, you don’t even need to stew the filling: so tender leaves of fresh cabbage. So, in this case, just chop the cabbage, salt it and mix with pieces of boiled eggs. The filling will turn out what you need!
