Stewed potatoes with meat - delicious and satisfying

How to cook stewed potatoes with meat
We clean the potatoes and wash them under a stream of cold water. Large potatoes can be peeled much faster than small potatoes, so we prefer to use it for this dish.
Cut the potatoes into medium sized pieces. Finely chopped potatoes will quickly boil and you get not stewed potatoes, but mashed potatoes with meat.
We clean and rinse the onion, then cut into medium-sized feathers, it is important not to chop.
We wash the meat and wipe it with paper towels from drops of water. You can use any meat for the recipe, but it all depends on how quickly you want to cook the dish. We used chicken meat, which means it will be stewed in 20-30 minutes. Pork is usually stewed for 40-45 minutes, beef even longer - 50-60 minutes.
Rub the meat with salt and pepper.
In a mixture of vegetable and butter, fry the onion and meat until a golden crust appears. Cover with a lid and simmer for 15 minutes.
Now pour the potatoes, pour in the water and simmer for another 20 minutes over medium heat.
